Honestly, I think this is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.

Either you try and make it too serious for a Western audience and you lose the original series charm. Or you try and be as close as you can to the source material, and it looks goofy.

They only showed the characters that will appear. Buggy doesn't look like a main villain to me, and how is Buggy the villain in shells town??
