japanese acting is so much different than the rest, it's gonna be a clash

at least Zoro is a stoic character that doesn't talk much, so there won't be much need for the overacting

The thing is, this adaptation from the info we've gotten so far has been 99% faithful to the manga. But that's the thing. One Piece manga doesn't translate well to reality. If they started changing things to make it more realistic, they would be bombarded with criticisms of not being faithful to the manga. It's a lose-lose case either way.
