“Accuracy” isn’t your bias, it’s your cover. Alabasta’s world includes a spectrum of skin tones, and Oda himself signed off on this casting. If the creator’s fine with it but you aren’t, that’s not about "accuracy" that’s about your racism. (JUST OWN IT)
The fuck are you talking about? Do you read someone post before replying it? Or emotion and feeling get the best of you? If " MUH RACISM" is the only argument you can think of, then this is my last reply to you, Charithra Chandran is beautiful actress and have good talent, but she is a not a good cast for vivi, and if she make you feel seen and represented in your favorite pop culture media then more power to you, but that only your opinion.
But since im believe you arguing in a good faith, how about this, what so wrong about wanting to cast someone that look like the charachter more accurately? Like indian actress i saw in imdb for example:
Whats wrong with that? same question on what they did to nami hair,
If emily hairstylist cant get her hair like this
Why they cant even style her wig like that?
So yeah, for me,the problem is ,i know the studio can, they just wont do it because they want some DEI and political point for american press. And the one who like the change, rather then admit they like it even if its look wrong, go far and wide to gaslighting people that they are wrong, namecalling and labeling anyone to agree. This so bullshit man.
I can't wait for LA it's sooo good. Also Vivi actress looks perfect. But ofcourse the best one is Smoker for me. Pale blond...in manga I never thougth about this, Smoker is actually hot!
