how would masons work in an SRM game like this?

In what sense? The only real difference between Masons in SRM and Masons usually is in SRM, the masons tend to share a role PM. Otherwise it's exactly the same. I assume the newer version of Mason, where they share alignment, would be in play (not the version I use, where it's just a chat outside of the thread).
