As someone who just hates organized religion, I've gottten way more spiritual just by hoping all these mangaka that spent their whole lives working their asses off get to meet up somewhere else after death and just chill and hang out.
Toriyama and Oda knew each other for a while, and didn't get that many chances to see each other just because of their work schedules. That's just sad on some deep human level.

I'm so fucking terrified of the days One Piece does end (despite how much i want it to end for various reasons ironically) and when Oda finally leaves this Earth too.
There's so many poignant, life changing imo, astounding, emotional moments in both One Piece and the various Dragonball series, stuff you cannot put a price on nor ever forget.
For all my issues with both OP and the DB franchise, I'll never (have to) stop being grateful (hopefully) to both of them for inspiring and changing my life so much.
I will cry so much for the day when Oda is truly gone. Nothing will ever truly prepare us for that.
