Most these fights don’t matter. All Oda needs to set up is BBs and a small handful of other fights then off screen them except Blackbeards, show that these three won, then show Blackbeard beat Shanks. 5 chapters will do to.

Because Blackbeard vs Shanks is more important since that’s what the plot is pushing and it directly allows Luffy to overcome Shanks’ crew like the promise.

So offscreen it is lol.

The only thing happening between Shanks and BB is a small skirmish where BB runs away and plants a doubt in the audiences mind about whether Shanks really is a good guy. BB is getting used as haki training dummy/stepping stone for Luffy to level up his haki enough to take on Shanks, some people have taken their copium too far in regards to Oda's go to hypeman and too dead set on their head canon, a rude awakening is coming
