The hint heavily implies a one sided fight, at least for now. Kizaru will probably activate his awakening and hold his own.

That depends on what crew we’re talking about. I consider Rayleigh to be inferior yet comparable to Roger. Zoro has advanced conquerors, that’s basically the strongest power up a character can get. Zoro would lose to Luffy, but Luffy would have to use gear 5 to defeat Zoro.

I'm afraid luffy doesn't need to use 5th gear for zoro, that would be too exaggerated, just like with lucci, it would be a no diff battle

I think it clicks wonderfully with the story. I really don’t see it as a Naruto deus ex machina plot hole or anything of the sort.

Then using g5 against Kizaru is useless story wise. Kizaru needs to be pushed back in order to bust out his awakening.
