I dont like none of those RA commanders oda introduced on reverie
It's the same shit in every arc. Lolda introduces many new characters, people get excited to see what their roles will be,and their expectations blow up in their faces when all these characters end up doing nothing.
Everyone should have learned a lesson from scrubbards,Oroshit's underlings and the yakuza bosses.

I think Oda doesn’t give a shit about power lvls, tension etc.
The OP fandom is ironically obsessed with power lvl discussions
Oda is just focused on writing a "funny", adventurous and enjoyable story
similar to the story Joy Boy left
Thats exactly it. Its the Dragonball, Bleach, Naruto etc fans who came over especially once their series ended and brought so much powerscaling toxicity nonsense but then again its always been an issue in Shonen communities at least ofc.

Oda could slap them in the face and tell them to not obsess over powerscaling, to enjoy the story for what it is and not take it so seriously, overanalysing it, to actually have fun and appreciate the characters, world building etc but they would just try to fucking powerscale Oda and rate the strength of his slap etc lmfao. Oh no....they're gonna start powerscaling mangakas now aren't they!?

:risitameh::risiup::saden::shame:

Honestly, the best side of the community BY FAR are the shitposters/mememakers and the people who make fanart and fanmade chapters especially!

For real why does the one piece fandom has so many powerscaletards? Also nice avi
Thank you

and Ghostly explained it

Shut up, goon.

He has a point though
Oda introduced too many side characters and failed to implement them well
The panel time of some SHC members suffered because of this
We got nothing whole, just two underused groups
The side characters in DR played a major role but Oda also sent 50% of the crew away in exchange
Another problem is that Oda has weird priorities
Franky vs Sasaki was not even a chapter but he wasted multiple chapters on Tama

I think Oda made a mistake with the interlude showing about Mariejois and Fullalead, it kinda really threw Egghead's flow off once it segues back to them. It probably would have been better if he did like a Reverie style mini arc to show what happened during this time.
The Reverie should have just been the Reverie. Splitting it into two parts was horrible for pacing, and just created fake hype making us think Sabo actually fought Admirals.

Oda just can't show shit as it's happening, there always has to be SOME fucking flashback. It's one of the only things I really hate about his writing.

Cutting back to shit we were already supposed to see to tank the current pacing just sucks.
