Yeah I agree, at least OP hasn't tried to drum that message extremely egregiously to is from the beginning too.
The Nika reveal ruined pre TS/early OP fights for me but also helps to explain some issues/plotholes.
Naruto aged extremely badly in that regard to the point I saw a video essay criticising Naruto for sheer hypocrisy ultimately and going viral especially when someone else made a counter video that defended Narutos writing and denied the hypocrisies.
Lee got done especially fucking dirty in that series especially post TS to EOS and beyond. After that absolutely horrifying, heartbreaking arc of him being crippled permanently by Gaara and then the whole surgery to save him being not guaranteed to work or and or far too risky for his life or something? That was such a hard hitting, tragic character arc and storyline and Lees actual character and role died after that, despite him having a miraculous complete recovery and successful surgery.
I'm angry at Oda gaslighting us for 25 years but he's still being more consistent to his lore and principles of the story. I don't like conquerors haki in how Oda has executed it but I love the concept of it mostly. Oda has always stuck to his guns about ambitions and dreams, freedom and desire being most important of all.
Although I don like how he's written zoans either now nor what it might imply for Luffy too but Naruto was much worse overall and it reminds me now why I swore off Naruto so intensely in the past too.
