If you ask me about kizaru unclear thing. that is goku when he has a job or bardock .
They just feel like to do good and bad things at same times.
Like goku , kizaru value his friends .
‘’Kizaru tell Saturn , he literally want to fight sentomaru , although it is not necessary since Saturn can control robot at his will but his plan work in his favor . But it is his personal stuff than genius game plan.
Goku pick fights and does do dumb thing but it work well.
Now if kizaru feed to luffy , then it is literally Goku giving senzu beam to his enemy .
Kizaru is unclear but neutral face . But morality rank , kizaru is slightly eviler than goku .
They just feel like to do good and bad things at same times.

More specifically I think the scene played out a bit like Ace and Doflamingo's backstories where they were being laughed at and held back and had to watch as someone/something they loved got hurt/destroyed and awakened Conq to save them
And though I sort of doubt he has it I would love to see Akainu have a similar scene only for him to walk over to his parents and find that they're already dead.
He got all that hope built up for nothing. Ruined his innocence.
Would be a great backstory imo.

Akainu makes an emotional speech how he truly believed in justice but went astray, and that Luffy managed to open his eyes.
Akainu dies and Imu maks fun of him

Though come to think of it I can see Conq being a semi-requirement for the FA, considering basic VAs need basic Haki, Admirals seem to need ACoA, and the natural step up is Conq Haki.
Akainu is also the only one of the Admirals that really steps up for his beliefs and has never considered wavering for anything yet, we've seen that with most Admirals that have more than 10 panels (basically everyone but Aramaki lol).
