The way they're in the focus now kind of reminds of Togashi using Hisoka and Chrollo but only after we saw already saw Meruem/the chimera ants in action.

Like Hisoka and Chrollo were strong but we were aware of stronger entities existing in the verse (like Imu in OP for ex) that it made them nowhere near as hype as they could be.

Admirals are kind of in a similar situation imo where they're still strong but the ceiling in the setting has moved past them a bit.

Feel like Oda blundered saving them for so long.
