To be honest, a lot of Oda's decisions since Sabaody have been questionable. I mean the guy kicked off that arc by not only introducing the World Lobles but even ending it by splitting up the Straw Hats and turning it into Luffy Piece for 3 years and from there OP has never been able to match the peak it achieved in Water 7. Sure I guess some fights have been neat although overly flashy, but most of the Straw Hats have just become gag and background filler with their shining moments being few and far in between, meanwhile arcs have been made so slow and padded up so heavily that they now last far longer than anything from before the TS.

Daffy Duck: (proudly) You got that right! And I demand respect!
Luffy: (grinning) Respect, huh? Sounds like a challenge! Let's see what you've got, Sanji!
Sanji: (cracking his knuckles) Fine by me, Daffy. Let's see if you can handle my Black Leg Style!
