My point is it ain't from Roger's.

The bandage we saw is too small for the scar Whitebeard have.

So it basically happened after This specific battle.

Roger and Whitebeard after that has no clash in records because they were busy with One Piece.

In manga during Roger and Whitebeard final clash, the scar is missing as well.

Oda Is flippant on these things, he even draw Shanks with his arm, but we consistently saw WB without scars post GV and Roger wounding him on the chest.

It's not beneath him to retcon, but still.
