I wonder how much the story would’ve changed if Oda kept Nami as the original concept axe swinging one armed cyborg Navigator. She would’ve been a great wing alongside Zoro and since Nami and big mom fit so well as parallels would’ve been fitting for her to be the deuteragonist of the WCI arc.
Does legit feel like Sanji stole the Left Hand role from her because oda decided against having a female combatant and as the story evolved Oda put more and more focus on combat that actual adventure.

I’m not mad about it? But it does make me wonder how well Nami would’ve fit into the role as the second wing if Oda actually cared to keep her as a fighter

Yes, Nami is a very important piece of the crew in terms of leadership. Sanji too, but he has also a great power source.
I don't understand the echo chamber in which some "nami fan" are truly believing that if she is a navigator she is automatically a Gyaban parallel. First thing first "parallels" are too forced. I think the reader are doing it. Every character is it's own character, and even if Gyaban resemble Sanji or like someone says Nami (I still think Gyaban has more in common with Sanji than Nami btw), he should be still a character on his own.
That's why twitter or any other echo chamber are not to be take too much serious. The average reader doesn't give a shit about this.
Just my opinion, but those "nami fans" are maybe fan of a certain character in disguise, but it's just my thought
