Kizaru had to ACT like a Yonkou could stalemate him. Let me repeat that, Kizaru basically pulled a Fujitora vs Sabo in Dressrosa and he had to sell this notion to Saturn that Luffy was capable of stalemating him when in reality the dude was up and ready to fight...the only difference between Luffy and Sabo was that Luffy was a Yonkou so a Yonkou and an Admiral stalemating was a lot more believable so everyone bought it. But holy shit how strong is Kizaru actually, that he needs to fake being in a stalemate with Luffy??
Idk wtf Oda was doing drawing this but it really hammers home the point that Kizaru must really be close to Akainu for Oda to go this far, that Akainu vs Luffy is in the books and Luffy was still not ready despite becoming a Yonkou.
