Idk. CG as a concept has always been weird to me. I guess its a narrative tool for Oda to bring together all Shichibukai eventually but Im not sure what their actual role is meant to be.
Probably just to make things more complicated in the end when the others start fighting but who knows. All i believe is Mihawk does whatever at this time and then his actual plot relevance with the WG starts after that.

i think CG goal was to make mohawk relevant to the story and set up the zoro vs mohawk fight.
cause without CG, mohawk has no relevance to the story of one piece, and zoro would need to go search and fight mohawk after the story. So oda created cg to give mohawk some kind of tie to op race etc and a way for them to meet up organically before story ended

I see Cross Guild allying with Blackbeard, possibly via force on Teach's end, then CG splitting into two factions: Buggy takes a good amount, Teach takes the rest.
Croc will go for Laugh Tale and Daz Bones will become a hero somehow. This was foreshadowed here.

If Buggy is Rocks' son, I think Loki is gonna join Cross Guild.
Crocodile slots into the Sanji slot, and the Co-Captains are somehow Buggy and Loki. Brains and brawn. And Buggy.
Teach has his own Will: the two men, IMO, who inherited Rock's Will are Loki, and Buggy.
Like Rocks, Buggy naturally brings people together.
Loki, Mihawk, Croc, Post Training Buggy, the Galleila Giants... that's a fucking legitimate lineup.
I could see CG recruiting a lot of former Beast Pirates, too. I think Katakuri will take over the Big Mom Pirates and enter an alliance with Wano and Elbaph.

Now? They'll hunt Royalty, as well, and the Celestial Dragons.
Cross Guild provides protection to its assassins.

CG is already incredibly popular worldwide, especially amongst the poor and unaffiliated nations.
Loki is joining Cross Guild... to hunt the Celestial Dragons down, and get paid while doing it.
