For years I've said it this manga was just another generic shonen like Naruto and them

  • Other main characters get shafted hard : SHs have become background characters bar Sanji , Zoro and Luffy
  • Time travel
  • Power of friendship to the max
  • Stupid plot conveniences
  • Maximum plot armour
  • Retcons that are outrageous: Gomu Gomu no mi into Nika nika no mi
  • Asspulls
  • Everyone gets to share similar powers of the MC : Bonney is Nika 2 and soon it'll be everyone else at final war

Look at where we are !!
Each and everyday we're getting closer and closer to seeing Ace alive again
We will soon see Luffy enter avatar /vongola state where he gets to meet the spirits of past Joyboy and also Roger. They'll bestow unto him the ultimate power via VoAT spiritual realm

I’m pretty sure that the “True awakening” will be a thing soon. Especially to help some character to catch up (Smoker, Akainu, Sabo…).

Luffy has to meet past joyboys and Roger in a dream/spirtual world
He has to understand what it means to be Joyboy and why he's chosen
