When a bounty is hype, Oda shows it in the manga : SCs & Pero, Calamities , Yonko & Roger.
When it's not hype, then sbs/VC/Magazines : Sabo, Ace,...now Marco.

Every bounty shown in VC has been a letdown :
DR Sabo : 602 M instead of 850 M+
Oven/Daifuku : 300 M , instead of 400M+
Jinbei: 438M , instead of 450-500M
Marco : might be between 800M-1 B instead of 1.2B+

Oven/Daifuku twice below Pero/Snack to showcase they are indeed below them clearly in power.
Sabo's bounty is symbolic to say DR Sabo >= Ace >= DR Luffy in power.
Jinbei barely below Warlord Law to showcase both are around same level. DR Law ~ Jinbei
Marco having below 1B would mean.... Judge for yourself

Anyway, 900M or 1.4B doesn't matter as long as we know Luffy's >Marco already.

I think we all know that Marco’s bounty is going to be either just above or just below 1 billion.

The possible range is 900,000,000 to 1.4 billion. I personally don’t really think a 1.2 billion bounty is THAT much more impressive than say a 950 million bounty.
