It can be ACoC or something with similar effects.
Sanji's Diable Jambe is "magic", "the heat of his heart", same words as in a SBS where it was explained his flame powers.
So for what we know, Ashura can be the same. Some weird magic stuff, with similar effects as ACoC on Kaido's regeneration.
