- Kaido took far more damage from lesser swordsman than Shanks
- Kaido clashed equally with far lesser Ad.CoC user
title and bounty and better on screen feat gives Kaido a claim over ANY MAN alive (for now)

Beasts pirates have operated independently before. Look at Kaido attack on Kid alliance and Jack attacking Fujitora, Sengoku and Tsuru.
Kaido was already called the Strongest by Oden who saw WB and Roger. Oden even stated that if he can not defeat Kaido, no one could for a long time.
With his entire crew while Kaido only had King.

Then again I disproved your headcanon about WSC = World's Strongest many times by simply showing you how Whitebeard was labeled WSM by some and Roger's equal by others.
Titles can be inconsistent and not universal even if you believe that Whitebeard was possibly no swordsman, therefore no inconsistency with Mihawk.
