Saying Mihawk is no longer the WSS because it didn't state it in 956 is like saying Hancock is no longer the "captain of the Kuja pirates" or she's no longer the "empress of amazon lily" but simply a "pirate empress".

Why would it say "Former" it has no needs WB wasn't "Former WSM"
There's a thing called title and information boxes two separate things.
WSS is in his info box
Oda telling us who boa hancock is, doesn't have anything to do with a title.

WB never lost his title until his death. Very simple.

Mihawk lost his title to Zoro. I was thinking that since timeskip because Mihawk didn't left Zoro at Sabaody but Perone did. Mihawk got to ashamed for being surpassed by his student. Also Mihawk doesn't have CoC that is why he couldn't tell Zoro had it and he knew he would be surpassed by Shanks because of his CoC and to avoid the shame that is to losing to someone with only 1 arm he started to avoid fighting with him.

Zoro not struggling during whole New World is very clear that Oda was foreshadowing that information. But at Wano is a Yonko fight, Zoro would show why he is the current WSS but Oda wants to milk everything he can from fans until the moment he will be world wide reconigzed as WSS comes so he nerfed Zoro by removing Shusui and giving him Enma. That made Zoro going from above Yonko Level to under Yonko level but still above Luffy's level.
