Actually, the Papaya Island (the island where the Tenkaichi Budokai is held) is a big as a "small continent", according to the Daizenshuu 7. Piccolo's chōbakuretsumaha (pre-DBZ) seems to be far more destructive than Mother Flame (which is already immensely destructive for One Piece's standards and probably could kill any OP character we know so far). Also, Master Roshi, who's far weaker than any version of Piccolo (at least until the end of DBZ), was able to destroy the moon back in the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai (DB's moon is certainly way smaller than the real-life moon, as Goku went to the moon with his Power Pole, but it might be an island busting feat already).

Well, if 23rd Budokai's Goku could take a chōbakuretsumaha head-on and continue fighting, it would be a breeze for Raditz. As we have no ground to compare the firepower of the Mother Flame vs. chōbakuretsumaha, I just take for granted that Piccolo's technique is stronger due to its much bigger blast radius.

Not sure if the Mother Flame can be more destructive, but so far (on panel/screen) it only destroyed Lulusia, that seems to be a fairly small island kingdom, while 23rd Budokai's Piccolo could raze a "mini"-continent with his power (and he didn't even use it all). Therefore, the OP team is no match for Raditz (unless, as I said, if Mother Flame or an Ancient Weapon has a hax, like antimatter or something similar). And that's only Raditz we're discussing, from Nappa and on the opponents just get exponentially stronger (with the exception of Guldo, who would be in trouble fighting alone against so many foes).
