Oden literally said
“In another 20 years the primary figures of that Great War will muscle their way into the new world. They will be the ones to strike down Kaido.”
And just like with this war, the straw hats will be the main figure of the war against the World Government.
And literally no other pirates in wano muscled their way into the new world this year except Luffys and Caribou.
It pretty clearly says the straw hats will strike down kaido.

Let me get this straight..... Eating meat != healing luffy is not at 100 HP because then they dont need chopper and luffy shouldn't ever wear bandages.....are we clear???
secondly... kaido can fight a yonko for 3 days at no point it was shown that his opponents were better than yonko so all that damage you think has occured ... does not really matter to him... so if WSC is true then 1v1 is not favoring SH...

im fairly certain that this is it. i need to look at the japanese versions of these two panels to see whether the difference in translation is a mistake by the translator (corrected in the volumes) or did oda purposefully change it.
EDIT: Reread ch 1000 and Yamato believed that Ace would lead the group that brings down Kaido. Ace who was in the new world much before the 20 years point. And Yamato probably read it off of Oden's journal.
They hammer in the fact that its the worst generation and not the strawhats even more by literally showing panels of Law, Kidd and Killer.

The worst Gen didn’t muscle into the new world 20 years after Odens death. They entered 18 years after.
Nor will they be the primary figures of the Great War.
It’s been clear since oden said the arcs ending with straw hats vs Kaido. The worst Gen thing was a red herring as they lost

Usopp regularly beats the number 4 of the crew when he has a fight.
Chu/Mr. 4/Perona.
Usopp also needs to surpass his father so he’ll need to defeat a calamity here and now
they need not necessarily come to the new world for the first time after 20 years.

well luffy is gonna fight him and luffy is still a member of the worst generation. and it has been played multiple times that luffy will fight and defeat him in that 1v1.

The scabbards thematically are the same thing as the tontattas in Dressrosa. They’re people to show the suffering the villain caused and to impart part of their Will into the straw hats to get them to grow stronger.
With Kaido himself saying Luffy casts a strong shadow and him having nine crewmates, the recent portrayal of wings of pirate king, the straw hats ending their fights with energy. Straw hats vs Kaido then Luffy vs Kaido has been set up.

Kind of weird to say this when Law and Kid are still fighting Big Mom. The 3 captains that are present in those panels are still fighting the Yonko currently. Nothing has changed. Those were the pirates Oden was talking about. The narrator showed it, why argue against that logic? I'm at the point where I don't expect the F6 to get up and be threats still, because just this very chapter the Narrator stated they were defeated.
And if you think Usopp will defeat Jack, why are you even assuming Queen and King go down first in order to set up Strawhats vs Kaido? Sorry, I don't get the logic.

Momotaro fight - Luffy Zoro Sanji and Momo vs Kaido
Nine shadows fight - Nine Straw Hats as Luffy recovers his haki
Final fight - Kaido vs Luffy
Jack fight will take place during the nine shadows fight then they’ll join after.

I just think you are making waaaaaay too many assumptions about something that has no concrete proof lol.
What has solid proof is Luffy defeating Kaido, because the story has only told us like 5 times already after the Rooftop fight.

yes. and i dont think strawhats (most of them are already roughed up) are gonna pose any bigger threat than a one shot for kaido.
we have a mythical zoan bird, mythical zoan dog. there's no way sanji and zoro are going up there instead of marco and yamato if the momotaro theory is right.
the way i see it:
9 shadows - 9 scabbards vs kaido
leaders of the new generation - rooftop 5 supernova vs kaido
momotaro - luffy, yamato, marco, momo vs kaido
then luffy gets the final blow in a 1v1 with kaido.
all pretimeskip fights. usopp vs chew was when there were only 5 crew members. perona was a gag fight.
i dont rule out usopp vs jack but if it happens it'll be filled with PIS and will feel insanely out of place.
jack would look like a joke compared to the other two calamities.
jinbe or neko is a much better candidate since the very reason for neko dragging perospero outside is for carrot to get the finishing blow.
i see carrot vs perospero round 2 after neko softens him up to go fight jack 1v1 after inu loses.

Don’t underestimate the straw hats.
The idea that Oda will have Kaido one shot any of them is kinda silly. If Kaido couldn’t just one shot scabbards the straw hats will be fine.
