I do think there is something to this to be fair, not really sure what he gains from buddying me here though.

Shalltear could be scum to be honest. I haven't got too far in Overlord but I don't trust her and think she could betray Ains.

Of course it does, and of course the main character could be a fake claim, but that's still a significant claim to just move past. I would say losing Ains will pretty much lose the game there. So unless there is hard, factual evidence as to Ekko being scum, I'm inclined not to lynch there today.

I think there is very little chance Fuji doesn't include Ains in an Overlord game. At best I can see Ains as a Serial or something. The point is he's probably not mafia presuming Fuji did not do the unprecedented for him and rng alignments

He IS a bad guy - all the protagonists are. That's the point of the show lol. They're basically a scenario where the villains stopped the heroes who tried to kill the demon king (Ains). He (Ains) is playing an MMO, his guild is a villain guild, the rest of the guild leaves the game and he stays until it gets shutdown. Then when it's getting shutdown, he gets stuck in the world which is how he's there and why it's technically an Isekai.
