This reads like AO3 fanfiction to be honest. Not that I read AO3 fanfiction, of course. The content means it has to be someone familiar with a game from several years ago, but I don't know if I like the idea of Ekko just leaning into this and gambling that he wins Soul over. Because there is really nowhere for him to go if Soul just outs him lol.

So, questions - how did Charlie get this? Did he intercept the message? My inclination is to lynch Soul because I can see him coming up with this plan and him immediately latching on to it being Ekko feels like it lacks thought nuance for Soul. It's possible I guess that it's Ekko if it isn't Soul but meh, seems unlikely to me either way. Would probably look at the likes of Flower who would be cunning enough to try something like this. hime likes doing this stuff too but I don't think she'd have the relevant context.

How should I know what you do in "every game"
I saw a small tell, and read the first two-three posts of the exchange, and read it as scum tells. It is nothing personal

I mean, what Ekko says makes sense. Why tf would he say to anyone "Hey, i'm going to cult you later on" and send it to wrong person. Like, if it's really redirected or whatever, even if Town SK got this message, he'd have to out him regardless because otherwise he's playing against his current wincon. And if it's Scum SK, he could just out him for Town credit.

I'm really struggling to see how Ekko would do it as CL. And as mafia he'd basically have to do so to play 5D chess

There is also the element of motive, i.e if Soul is under pressure he's going to want to take a swing elsewhere.

Soul being the most vocal would then make him the most suspicious of trying to frame ekko but then the same thing applies here, people would then start to suspect Soul, so from his point of view it probably does not make much sense to try and frame Ekko if it just ends up backfiring. I think the scenario in where Soul is trying to land a quick gocha on Ekko is more plausible than the scenario where Ekko randomly decides to out himself to recruit Soul.

if ekko doesnt recruit for rest of game then ekko looks framed by mafia and looks like conf town and becomes a liability to mafia since there will be a "confirmed town" cult leader on the loose that they will lose to

This is not a good post at all Cry. If a recruit happens that does not automatically = Ekko being outed scum. There could clearly still be an actual cult on the loose, but it doesn’t have to be Ekko

Agreed, I also don’t like Cry’s stance around the situation either.

Also it's probably not necessary but about message being redirected to Charlie 1.0 from SK. I/Relo have ability that's basically a type of redirection and it can't be used during day phase. So i just don't believe message was not adressed to me to begin with. So basically someone trying to shade Ekko. Only question being if it's someone else or Ekko himself for Kekko reasons.
