Lets say Jiraiya powered up a bit before pain or he could hold more sage energy, he would be on par with Pain. You're say Naruto was stronger than Jiri but thats not true until the 4th great war. Kakashi is trash.

Stop talking like Kamui doesnt drain Chakra, thats one of the reasons War arc was so trash, everybody had unlimited Chakra.
Although I cant remember much of Naruto anymore, If Jiraya knew how Pain worked he couldve survived, mf walked in their territory without knowing anything. Thats some bad writing. Imagine Luffy entering Wano alone to fight Kaido lol.

So you’re ignoring war arc kakashi but say DMS Kakashi can beat Jiraiya? You realize that’s in the war arc right lol

anyways War Arc Kakashi stomps. Doesn’t matter if he has plot on his side

We talk about manga written by kishimoto here where war arc kakashi can spam kamui ; if you have any prob with that take it up with him bruh ; as it is war arc kakashi defeats jiraiya

According to Pain’s own words Jiraiya could’ve beat him if he had intel. kakashi had that and still lost to two paths

Pain deva path>>> those 3 bums path combined lmao that jiraiya fought
Jiraiya never fought deva fought, he would've get stomoped by Deva path he just said that out of respect.
Nagato saw he couldnt solo kakashi with Deva path and called third strongest path for backup to take advantage, but kakashi still was 1 second away from defeating both of the paths, almost reached there but like 1 second short, keep in mind plot stopped him from using Kamui
And at the end of fight, nagato didnt get near almost dead body of kakashi cause it would be so dangres and just shot him from far away, which got kamui'd out.

Kakashi's issue has always been his complete lack of stamina

His raikiri should be a more spammable move for him and to an extent his kamui as well, but his chakra reserves are already meh and then add on top of it that his sharingan was constantly draining him, he can't last in a fight with jiraiya

My point is, they are almost equals but fandom acts like jiraiya is on whole another level when feat wise they are equals.
