Cmon, there is no one better than Alfie

Alfie is literally one of the rare men Tommy actually relies on outside of his family. When shit hit the fan Alfie stepped up for Tommy - tho he did try to fuck him over but so did Tommy to him

I love series with meaningful but natural dialogue and verbal exchange, does this series provide it? Or does the series feel empty in dialogue and depend on action/gore/shouting-yelling-angry gestures instead?

It easily provides it. I can't provide you with examples since that would spoil you but just watch season 1 and you'll see what I mean.

I'd like to ask, which season do y'all think was the best? Not necessarily your favorite, but the one that had the best plot, acting, etc. I choose season 3. The death of the Priest is one of the most satisfying moments in the entire show. I also believe that this is where Cillian Murphy's acting was the best. He's the great the others as well, no doubt, but this one was his peak. Season 3 also sets off as a catalyst for Tommy's downward spiral of his mental state.

Season 4. Everything was amazing. I love the mafia conflict. While all the seasons have moments that are amazing for me, like in season 1 when Tommy blows Kimber's brains out, season 2 when Campbell dies and Tommy is saved at the end, season 3 when the priest dies and Tommy slowly starts losing it, but season 4 is all together amazing. The first meeting between Changretta and Tommy is otherworldly.

Season 4 for me too. @Dark Admiral and @Light D Lamperouge justified very well.
The atmosphere, characterization and especially the antagonist were amazing. The Priest from season 3 really put pression in Tommy but Changretta faced him as an equal. Also, John's death really surprise me.

S4 show peaked for the reasons others already described.

S5 underrated though, Aberama's death was cold af, dude was so fucking close to getting his revenge. The plan failing might be the most intense scene in the show and that's saying a lot.

S5 is def a contender to be one of the best too. The plan failing legit pissed me off cause Tommy was just so close. Who do you think might have been the one to leak it? I remember that scene where Finn told that footballer guy about what was gonna go down that night. He was about to pick up the money but then reached for the phone. It might be a little too obvious though.

Yea it was frustrating. I think everything was building up to Finn fucking up. Finn wasn't ready for such a role, he was yappin it up a bit too much, I don't remember clearly but I think it was Arthur who had that dude shook, when he wasn't around he became comfortable with Finn.

Johnny Dogs or Gina.

Case for it being Johnny
> Aberama says that only Johnny knew where Aberama and his son were camping. He believes Dogs betrayed him and led those people to them.

> Dogs literally fucking Tommy's maid behind Tommy's back and Tommy saying that only being a mole would get someone fired. Foreshadowing.

> Tommy saying he can only trust Johnny Dogs. Sus.

> At the end and when the plan is failing of all the people in the backstage, Arthur, Aberama and Johnny only Johnny doesn't get attacked by anyone. Throughout the entire season it seems Dogs always misses danger somehow and always somehow knows what to do or say to get Tommy's trust.

Case for it being Gina
> Mosley knows which club Michael regularly frequented back in Detroit. Minor, but the obvious person to let him know that would be Gina.

> Gina lies about being pregnant. Polly didn't feel anything when she touched her belly.

> Gina knows about Mosley, so much that she immediately corrects Michael who says Mosley is a lord, but he is instead a baronet.

> Mosley has sex with a woman who looks a lot like Gina right before the rally and her face is never seen.

Though if I had to bet I'd say Johnny Dogs is the better option.

I like both Alife and Tommy but leaning more towards Tommy. It's quite easy to be spellbound by his character and root for him throughout the story. The delineation of his character has been done with a fluency that he actually makes you question morals. He makes you question where your own loyalties lie. He makes you wonder, what you will do in the shoes of Thomas Shelby. In spite of his abhorrent methods, what he stands for is largely good.

He stands for what common folks think is right and that's why he's an easily likable character. Of course, the depiction of his character by Cillian Murphy was nothing but remarkable and he did a brilliant job to make us feel the character that is Thomas Shelby.

Ooh, this is a really strong case for Dogs. I can't deny that looking at it in hindsight now, there's been def something building up for towards him. Tommy saying that he's the only guy he can trust is already bad enough as that's a major jinx and Dogs not getting attacked at all backstage is a major red flag. Good catch, I didn't notice that while watching,

I can def see this being true as well. Ngl, ever since Gina has been introduced, she's been mad sus lmao. I think she's probably been giving Michael the ideas to usurp Tommy and has been egging him on. It wouldn't be a shocker for us to discover that she's been trying to set Tommy up for failure.

> Gina lies about being pregnant. Polly didn't feel anything when she touched her belly.
Oh, really? I don't recall Polly saying anything about it.

Iirc it was in episode 2. Something along the lines that Polly didn't hear any heartbeat when she touched her stomach. I tried finding the scene but it's impossible lol.

There's also the fact that Gina tried her best to shake off Ada when visiting the clinic.
