Questions & Mysteries Perhaps Garling and Shamrock playing both sides with BBP

#21
You say "why would anyone try to usurp someone else's power instead they can just stay as underling forever" , like because that happens all the time in the history? Lol.

If they think there is only their own side, and Imu's side is different then they aren't weakening their own side. Not sure why this usurping someone else's power concept is so weird for you, it happens all the time in the history or in One Piece.
There's no historic precedent of a ruler like Imu giving the unprecedented access to things that Garling receives from Imu. It would be petty to the point of absurdity for him to betray him.

If Garling ever said something implying he doesn't see Imu on his side, that would be one thing, but he didn't. We've only seen him speak to Imu, it's with respect

and him not considering the guy who keeps him alive as someone on his side would just be bizarre on his part

Like I said, if Garling think they will be thrown away like Saturn, or they will get killed like Harald, for sure it makes sense for him. He knows Imu would give up on them easily to save his own ass.

Saturn wasn't thrown away, he was killed for treason. Why would Garing be under the impression that he can betray Imu and pay no consequences if caught? You're basically arguing for him to be a mentally ill paranoid schizophrenic for no reason.

Why would Garling be under the impression that he should try to do the same thing that got Saturn killed, when Imu has control of his soul?

That's called trying his chances kid, bigger risks bigger rewards. Like you are questioning why would anyone take more risk to gain more power, they just do, some people like challenges.

Nope, I just said "perhaps" they can be "greedy", and perhaps not and they will stay loyal. I am just talking about a possibility.
