@Garp the Fist what do you think? I know that you’re a fan of the 6 SHs vs Flying 6, so now Perospero can fill in the hole that Drake is leaving since a SH obviously won’t fight Drake.

I don't really see his main purpose in going over there to get defeated in some sort of grudge match.
We know two things that set Perospero apart from the other BMP:
1) He actively opposes the BMP-Beast Pirates alliance, even calling Big Mom insane. Others like Smoothie choose to obey Big Mom, others like Daifuku are not worried about the alliance and want to focus on capturing Luffy first.
2) He specifically hates one of their members, King. No other BMP has been shown to have resentment toward any particular Beast Pirate.
We also know that Perospero thinks highly enough of himself that he believes he could lead the BMP in Big Mom's absence. In other words, he believes his judgement is above the rest of his brothers and sisters. Perospero believes his thoughts and actions are representative on behalf of the BMP.
This sets up Peros to be a some of sort of homewrecker. Oda is most likely using Perospero to ultimately break up the Big Mom and Kaido alliance. Perospero could attack his allies like King, he could make his opinion known that the BMP are never trusting the Beast Pirates, he could invite some sort of third party chaos that destroys any sense of union or cohesion leading to their dissolution.

It's honnestly ridiculous if he'll be the only BMP to reach Onigashima, Oda has already used too much plot convenience and induced stupidity to prevent the BMP from teaching Wano and Onigashima.
And as Garp said I agree that his role won't be limited to a fight against a Straw Hat or Carrot and I do not dellude myself about Chopper, Brook, Usopp or Carrot's chances of beating him unlike what some others said.
His role may be to cause some frictions between the Beast Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates and likely to cause the alliance between these 2 Emperor fleets to eventually fall apart.

1. He might want to warn about marco and fetch BM and leave wano
2. He is doing some scouting to help the ship climb the waterfall
3. He carry montdor book
4. His mission is only to kill luffy quietly and leave wano with BM
5. Smoothie and the other get busy with marco's reinforcement under the waterfall

Perospero go to Onigashima not because of a weak bunny like Carrot, he have his own rival with Oda even make it clear(King,Marco and Luffy). The Perospero plot will be interesting for sure and I don't think Oda use him to give fodder Strawhats a fight, he don't gonna waste Pero for this.
The result of Nami vs Ulti and Chopper+Carrot vs Perospero would be the same, ending that the strawhats get negged again.
