Powers & Abilities Physical Strength is as important as Haki

It's objectively not.
Idk why Sanji fans would even want him to fight Burgess. Fruit or no fruit, the dude's already been clowned by Sabo - no DF is gonna remove that shit stain from his record. You really want Sanji's big victory to be the dude Sabo already bodied back when he was high-tier? Aim higher, go for someone with a clean record like Lafitte or Pizarro.
Chrono is the only one gassing him up

The rest of us are on the Lafitte/Pizarro train

Burgess wouldn't be a terrible matchup but that's not really a fight I want for Sanji

It is not important anymore because if you don't have ACoC, even if you have incredible physical strength, you will get KO. in one shot like Kaido did it with Luffy. :owo::owo:

Many times did Luffy have worse haki than his opponents, yet broke through their defences because his physical strength was stronger than their haki defence.

Seems like people are forgetting how important physical strength is. Is the best stat for Kaido, BM and Luffy...along with their haki.

Stop sleeping on Burgess. As long as he has basic hardening (which he does) his attacks will be devastating. If he has strong CoA.....the OPverse is finished.
You're missing the best example.

The Kuja warriors got destroyed by luffy even tho they had haki. Oda showcased just how much physical strength mattered.

giants have a good amount of physical strength
its great when other stats are also solid ( your speed, your haki , endurance, durability etc)

picking out luffy , kaido, big mom
who are indeed physical monsters but so much more complete in other ways than physical strength is like making an example of the top performers in the bell curve and ignoring the rest.
in reality burgess could be physically strong , perhaps even stronger than some of the people you mentioned here and still worlds away from some of the people you highlighted.

short story on jozu doflamingo :

dont need to point out the massive disparity in physical strength in the two

It's objectively not.

An increase in physical strength solely improves your offense. An improvement in Haki improves your offense and defense in more ways than one depending on how your Haki improved.

Burgess can have great AP and it mean absolutely nothing because he's too slow to land anything, or because his Haki is too trash to defend against other characters. Haki has far more utility than physical strength.

I wonder if people missed the fact that I was talking about only offense in this post

Yeah, but your example does not use physical strength only. Still, you are right. Look at Garp or any giant, they just use more physical power and have great power.

If Burguess can lift that, maybe he has G3 attacks with he naked hands, I mean, he somehow had to break that mountain to lift it. No wonder why Law said their bounties were getting higher.

Now they seem real Commanders and some fodder as he was in dresrossa.

Except Luffy in that panel is using haki too... and a lot more considering G4...

A better example would have been the funk bros breaking the haki infused axe by having a strong body.

But there's levels to haki too.

Luffy won not because he had superior strength

Katakuri just had bad stamina and physical endurance compared to Luffy

The ability to leverage your physical endurance and durability over your opponent to outlast him or her is much more important in the grand scheme of things than the difference in strength or haki

Physical Strength is only useful if the character has efficacy, some character are strong but they lack effectiveness on their skills.
also strong haki plays a huge role on effectiveness.

for me Effective Skills + Haki > Physical Strength + Haki
