So, not at all guaranteed, but its been a theory of mine for a while that Killer is a 3 eyed tribe member, like Pudding.
- He wears a mask.
- Without the mask he covered his face, primarily the forehead, with bandages.
- When drawn as a kid by Oda, he had hair that covered his forehead and eyes entirely.
So where im going with this is the pure fact that both Kid and Law are very likely going to lose their RPs to BB and Shanks. However, unlike Luffy, BB and Shanks do not have the last surviving Oharan to decipher Poneglyphs. But, what is interesting is Blackbeard took advantage of BMs absense from WCI, precicely for this reason. Which means that if he gets the RPs from Law, he also has a means of reading them.
Conversely, Shanks currently does not. No currently known 3 eyed tribe member. No Kozuki clan member with the skill of writing Poneglyphs. So how would he read them?
That brings me to this fight. Im going to be honest: I think most people (read most, if you disagree this thread is not for you), agree that Kid is not winning this fight. In that case, I think its possible that to prevent Kid from being killed as Killer warns, Killer may offer himself as a means to read the poneglyphs, and be taken prisoner.
In this way, Kid concedes AND survives, but it also allows for him to respect Luffy when he becomes Pirate King, by also getting back Killer in the end. Law's situation is a bit trickier, but I can imagine Blackbeard capturing him for use later (i.e. maybe he knows about the life surgery and will threaten Law to use it ).
Anyway, just a random thought.
