General & Others Powerscalers (Agenda Aside) is there a way that your favorite character can not be one of the strongest and that not be an issue for you?

This is a little weird coming from a Luffy fan because Luffy is clearly going to be top 1, 2, or 3. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that, it’s Luffy’s story.

But let’s talk about other characters and characters related to them.

If Zoro was top 10 but not stronger than some admirals or Yonko would you be dissapointed? If so why? That still means he’s stronger than 99% of characters. That’s not really an issue.

If Sanji ended up comparable to admirals but not stronger than any of them would that be an issue? Or if he was clearly weaker than Zoro, would that upset you? If so why? That doesn’t make him anywhere close to weak.

Mihawk fans, if he turns out to be clearly weaker than Shanks would you accept it? If Shanks turns out weaker than Mihawk I wouldn’t care in the slightest.

I understand some of this is trolling but I’m curious if there is a world where you’re still fine with the character even if they don’t meet your strength expectations.

Two of my favorite characters are Rebecca and Helmeppo

Strength doesn't matter to me
Helmeppo came a long way. I think for me a character being strong adds to my enjoyment but if Zoro was to maintain his personality but was as strong as he is I’d be fine with that.

I like his one liners and him being able to take control when necessary. But if he wasn’t strong enough to do that it could temper my enjoyment not by much though.

Zoro could have been knocked out during the “nothing happened moment and it would have been fire.

I got blokes like Urouge and Moriah in my Top 10 OP characters.:kayneshrug:

It will ultimately come down to a combination of design, personality, entertainment value and rule of cool for most folk.
Now design plays a huge role for me. I hated characters like Big Mom and Queen the moment I saw them.
Post automatically merged:

I prefer stoic characters , Zoro , Mihawk are already one of them.
I started watching it cuz I saw some post about nothing happened which took me in.

I was never interested in Luffy and Sanji.
Jimbei is likeable. And so are admirals(Atleast akainu when it comes to stoicism)
I like the stoic characters to. Akaiunu is one of my favorite characters. So is Zoro.

That’s just the type of character I like. To give an example Wolverine is my favorite super hero.

I like Luffy for his character, never quit attitude. I used to like that he made something out of a lack luster fruit but that’s not the case anymore.

How does that make him the strongest character? Considering people like Blackbeard, Luffy, Kaido, & Imu exist?
Why bother?
These people follow a dogmatic belief that Mihawk is the strongest in universe, and there is no interest from them in debating it, since it's all mental gymnastics.

And if it's proved that Zoro not top 1 in the end, they will just keep claiming their headcanon like they do now.
I.e. look at my signature.

I agree, I assumed it would be some genuine fans though.

Yes to both. Zoros character is defined by strength and his goal involves it directly. The idea that Zoro is capping off below people who’ve never cared for their own strength like big meme would be a huge disrespect to Zoros character.

Similarly, Sanjis character may not be defined by strength, but rather his role in the crew has become one defined by it. The fact that Oda has once again reinforced Sanjis role as fighting the left hand man, and opponents comparable to Zoros fights means that shits just never going to change. Oda had his chance to separate the monster trio and he opted out of it and instead chooses to keep them similar.

And finally we have Oda this very arc confirming that the Monster Trio will never separate and that Zoro and Sanji will always be comparable to Luffy just as Roger was to Rayleigh and Gaban.

At this point it’s just powerscalers and cope trying to separate them.
