I don't see why he can't be above Kuzan. If he's above Shanks, Issho, Aramaki etc. then why not Kuzan?
Sakazuki only gets the benefit of the doubt because he's the FA and a future Luffy fight

Because Kuzan is Sakazukis basically equal. I don’t think a single person is stronger than Kuzan that isn’t also stronger than Sakazuki

Dude, Sakazuki took his WHOLE FUCKING LEG OFF at the end of their fight.
While all Kuzan did was scar him.
It's not a big gap but it's obvious they're not equal anymore lol

Losing a leg doesn’t mean Kuzan got weaker at all. Hell outside of Zeff I can’t think of a single amputee in op that ever lost any fighting strength after losing the limb. The fight was established to be one of near equals splitting an island in equal half and going on for ten days straight with no signs of a winner.

They’ll still be equals with no noticeable gap otherwise creating this equality doesn’t really make sense in the first place

If he got stronger suddenly and win, Kuzan would’ve said so. It seems more like Sakazuki just had a little bit more in the tank than Kuzan did.

At his age I doubt it. Tbh it looks like both awakened their fruits in the fight and the fight probably ended just because Kuzan ran out of juice first and Sakazuki could get in one good hit that took Kuzans leg and ended the fight.

I don’t get why you think there’s going to be a gap? Seems counter productive to everything we know about the two
