In the recent chapter we Kaido having a bulk form which reminded my of Rob Lucci in his hybrid form and there does seem some similarities between pre skip villains and post skip

-- Arlong and Hody - Both fishmen having grudge against Humans

-- Crocodile and Doflamingo - Both have good ranged techniques , good area manipulation and similar plans

-- Enel and Katakuri - Both are nigh invulnerable in their unique way -- Enel through speed and inta and kata with adv Coo , both are great Coo users and enel's DF is anti luffy's where katakuri's is similar to luffy

-- Rob Lucci and Kaido - Both are close ranged CQC fighters , both are brutal and both in a way corner luffy first time

-- Moria and Big mom -- Shadow fruit and Soul fruit are similar , both can get physically stronger etc etc

I said this when the fight was still going on, back on OJ days. There’s a lot of similarities between how they fight . Both use tridents. Both utilize mantra and speed and Luffy struggles against their CoO for a good duration of the battle.

I think for the most part these character comparisons are legit—Maybe Linlin being the weakest.

Wow! I didn't expected for BM and Moria parallell. Also both strong people usually donwplayed by community because Oda written both dirty.

I could say both Buggy and Cracker Luffy needed Nami's help to win.

Zoro fought first Arlong and Hody before Luffy.

Sanji fed Gin and Krieg that became enemies just like BM and Luffy punched him.

Zoro faced WSS and now he tanked Hakai from 2 Yonkos which severely damaged him.

I guess we can find many similar to those. I wonder if we have any Monet moment pre-timeskip that I don't remember. Maybe Kaku fight when Zoro used Ashura?

Yeah, Kaido's more beefy dragon hybrid was the first thing to catch my eye.

The best Zoan users we've seen can manipulate their transformation beyond the standard three variants of human, animal, and hybrid. Kaido's the strongest Zoan user we've seen, so I'm not surprised that he has several ways of manipulating his dragon form like Lucci could, or Marco, or King.
