I would have shanks come to wano and help them (i know it sounds impossible),, we know that the news of luffy going to wano spread in the one piece world, and it's possible that shanks read them and he'll know that 2 yonko are going against luffy so he decides to help luffy since 2 yonko is too much for luffy
The obvious scenario is having Kaido and BM smashing the alliance's dreams (fk Kaido the calamities + F6 should be enough to wipe them all out, BM is over over over over kill) and then have something surprising to help the alliance.....
I see some people would be disappointed if the alliance have to win thanks to the plot but currently it's the only thing keeping them alive ,cuz even the most die hard fanboy knows that BM and Kaido are a power WAAAYYYYY above the current alliance's.... And the only way to make their defeat acceptable is for something a little convenient to happen.... about not having any Yonko/Admiral level dude, there is still the Lurking Legend that have yet to make his entrance and he might help at the start

I agree to that theory that said that the alliance will lose this.
Storytelling wise it just doesnt make any sense that the big bad oppressor of wano for 20years is defeated without its citizen witnessing them.
We also still have some missing element that needs to be resolved (sword, marine, vegapank, whitebeard pirates, toki, etc)

They're minor antagonists/stepping stones, the image of Kaido and Big Mom is negligible and insignificant to the plot after Wano. The author would rather respect the symbolic and characters' development he created than some fan made tier lists. Luffy doesn't have to accumulate feats to prove he can beat them, if Oda thinks he's at X level, he's at X level. It's a shonen story ruled by PIS where the protagonist's growth is as large as Oda wants, not an RPG game where you have to grind and upgrade your level realistically.
Its not just dodging, Luffy is supposed fight Kaido head on, what type of Yonko/PK he would be if he cant block another' attacks.... and of course it was exactly for that Reason Luffy was trying to Learn Ryou as his flashback was intended for learning the Invisible shield just like how Rayleigh Blocked Elephant and Sentomaru was Blocking Luffy and at the same time learn how to attack with that shield like Hyogoro and likely Sentomaru too....but in the process as Hyogoro said Luffy surpassed what Hyogoro did and now luffy can attack people drom inside their body a much stronger verdion of fishman karate
He will not be a yonko this arc so idk what you are saying, he will improve his coa so that next arc when he faces another top tier alone this time, he will block. That’s what power progression means. Just because he has to doesn’t mean he can or it makes sense. Now if kaido didn’t os luffy a few days ago I’d agree with you but not now.
Learning shield haki means nothing, boa sisters had it and were faring fine against base luffy but as soon as he went g2 he Broke through it. If the ap gap between the two fighters is huge it doesn’t do much.

Boa Sister's Haki is FAR weaker than Luffy right now, everyone should know by now that just Having Known how to use Haki doesnt mean it is equal for all in strength, Boa's Sister knows how to use only Blocking but it is Far weaker than Luffy
Luffy has to and will block Kaido, the clear indication is how Hyogoro stood firmly and told Luffy that he will not budge unless Luffy Blocks BigMom, which clearly means Hyogoro was confident BM could be blocked by Luffy even after he saw BM 2 Shotted Queen.... Luffy being one shotted is not the point here, the point is that Invisible shield was specifically learned for that reason and Luffy was supposed to Block BM if he had learned it.... invisible attacking Ryou on other hand is superior to just Invisible Shield and it infuses own Haki inside object/body in order to cause explosion from inside... Luffy right now should be able to both block and hurt Kaido because that was the reason for training...
and I dont know how your thinking process goes, Luffy already considered 5th emperor and even after training and you clearly saying he will defeat Kaido and BM in collaboration but you are not even ready to at least give him enough credit to be able to block/face a Yonko's attack and still beat them but then next arc suddenly he will be able to not only Block but also defeat Yonko for no good reason of development (while right now we have the exact development for defending which is invisible shield)

Luffy officially has a technique that should be able to harm Yonko (and protect himself better), Law will add some crazy tricks and tactics, maybe Kidd will do something too. Anything is possible. And no-one's image will (realistically) be harmed.
It's funny that not seeing tiers with unrealistic superstition as being magically invincible against anything (something that could only work in manga), even if one adds in the right ingredients to harm them and some good tactics and/or teamwork, automatically counts as "bad storytelling".

Correction, he was supposed to block hakiless amnesiac big mom, hyogoro never saw real big mom, second my point is exactly that. Luffy is a good deal weaker than kaido, even right now. Especially physically, so while yes he may have the barrier haki. It is the same scenario as i told you between the boa sisters and g2. If your ap is strong enough it will go through, and there is no reason to believe kaido cant.
