Dragonball is much shorter, and comparing Dragon Ball to DBZ is like two entirely different genres, not even mangas.
Like it went from a gag manga with 4th wall constant breaking to what now we call Shonen.
Silly thread, comparing naruto or One Piece to what defined the genre is impossible. It's like comparing middle ages painting to reinassance.
Naruto vs One Piece is a silly argument as well.
Naruto is an edgy manga with excellent fights which pretends to be deep while failing, One Piece is an adventure manga with passable fights and that never tries to be too deep, excelling at main themes.
No moment in Naruto can trump the merry arriving at Enies Lobby, I'll evaluate the tiemskips when One Piece ends, at teh moment One Piece clears.
