Can't give her higher than 0 from that fact alone. The fact she's Kaido's daughter makes it even worse, it's fine being inspired by Oden and betray her father. But that's it.

That's the fun part. Being an Oden wannabe is the only thing that defines her personality, yet everybody don't like this part of her and want it to be removed, even her own fandom. Great character.

I really, really like Yamato. As a crew member I will probably put Yamato in third place, tied with Franky after Zoro and Luffy.

8 out of 10, and since I’ve gone longer on this topic than any others, let me just say that the execution leaves a lot to be desired, but there’s just so much narrative potential with Yamato that even the stumble out of the gate isn’t enough to make me think she won’t be an important part of the story going forward as the next Straw Hat Pirate :cheers:

I agree on the fan service part, but thinking that she was created to get the attention of the LGBTQ community seems like a very western way of looking at it. This is a Japanese guy writing a Shonen manga, I really really doubt he's trying to get progressive brownie points or anything like that. He's just writing what he thinks is a cool character concept.
