I skip every panel with her on it. Can't stand her inclusion in the arc out of nowhere. Don't even understand the hype for her appearance. She's just the same copy/pasted female design Oda always uses.

If she becomes a SH, it will ruin every scene I'm looking forward to in the rest of the series.

she is really a great character but i dont like the Oden-tick , i mean every strawhat has his/her own tick.
Luffy -> meat
Zoro -> Booze and no orientation
Nami -> money
Usopp -> cowardice and lying about being sick
Sanji -> women
Chopper -> awkwardness when receiving praise :D lol
Robin -> funny imagination and morbid assumptions
Franky -> Super
Brook -> bad manners :D

How do you rate Yamato as a character?

The only formidable female combatant that Oda has written in the series (and that's something sorely missing).

Her backstory with Ace was compelling.

Her obsession with Oden detracts from her character somewhat.

I'd give her a 6.5.


She's still one of my favourite One Piece characters though.

She is the opposite of Momo. She is trying to force herself to fill the role of someone "Oden". While Momo is being forced to fill the role of someone "Oden". I am interested to see where Oda goes with this.

I have a feeling that her flashback is the opposite of Momo's too.

Her design, strength, and fighting style could carry her though. Sometimes that’s all you really need to be a likeable character. People would start opening up to her through her interactions with SHs anyways, like Franky was a douchebag the majority of his introduction arc
