I think Kid will be the one who will defeat Beckman. Oda is setting him up to have some role in elbaf, with Kid's ship sinking off the elbaf shore.

After what happened recently, Oda needs to give Kid at least one W in Elbaf and Beckman is the only person who Kid could realistically get a 1v1 against.

Shanks is just out of his league. His story is too important to Luffy and Teach's for him to fall to Kid. Kid could rematch against Shanks and not get one shot, but he would still lose. Anyone weaker than YC1 is too weak. Shanks already ranked Kid above Lucky Roo. If Kid fought someone YC2 level in Elbaf, it would just dehype him and make him look like a massive fraud.

Beckman is the perfect matchup for him. He is a gun user, just like Kid(damned punk is his new signature move). He took Kid's arm. And he is hyped to be one of the strongest right hand men. Defeating Beck would allow Kid to redeem himself after his massive loss to Shanks, while also not giving him too much of a focus in an arc that will primarily be about Luffy, Teach, Shanks, and Cross Guild.

Why can't people accept the truth that Mid and Flaw must never return?
These two plagued the story horribly by pretending they were rivals for Condom-Boy's gang.
Them being permanently written off is a must. Thus,the story can go back to nicely telling the journey of its rightful main cast the way it was before.

I do think Kidd and Law will return. But they probably won't have major roles.

Personally, I feel like we will get a parallel of Gol D Roger here with a public execution and Garp giving his speech. I doubt Akainu caves in to Teach's request to make him a sovereign king. I don't believe we're going to get a MF/Enies Lobby parallel here.

Luffy and crew 98% of the time seems to get the news relatively late. The only time we've really seen Luffy get current news is after they've done something drastic & for Ace's execution and the Crew got the 3D2Y as soon as it dropped.

If Hachinosu events of Garp are already out by same time frame that SHP are still trapped on Egghead when or how do you think Luffy will hear of the news of Garp?

the manga clearly indicated it's Akainu's decision what to do about the MArines and Garp is retired and went against orders, it is Akainus call here..

Akainu has no control over WG or who becomes an official king, if the gorosei / Imu think they need Garp back for some positive PR they will just decide so and he can only grin and bear it, unless he wants to go into an open rebellion.
