Break Week Remember the Ushimaru and co were turned into Numbers theory?

I still find it super bizarre how this theory actually didn’t come true, and tbh I’m convinced that the only reason it didn’t happen is because Oda wanted to wrap up Wano before Film Red and realized he wouldn’t have enough time to add in this subplot.

Yes. Though this post didn’t mention how these 3 Numbers were conveniently introduced in the exact same location that the 3 samurai were introduced in just a few chapters ago during Yamato’s flashback. It also didn’t mention how Fuga had an oddly close friendship with Yamato, which would have made sense if he used to be Ushimaru. We also knew that Caesar was using living people as templates for creating giants, so it would have made sense if the Numbers also used to be humans who were used in a failed experiment to produce Ancient Giants.

The theory did seem pretty likely at the time, and frankly I think it’s more likely that it’s just an abandoned subplot than just a series of weird coincidences (it wouldn’t be the only abandoned subplot in Wano, *cough* Ryuma, Nidai Kitetsu, half of the Scabbards *cough*). One of Oda’s biggest crimes in Wano is making the Numbers totally irrelevant and forgettable. At least this theory would have made them somewhat interesting

Agreed. Those 3 do resemble ushimaru and the other two. Numbers were most trash part of BPs. Even gifters were better as in numbers , they can at least stall a vet level character.

I think it'll still be confirmed in a SBS down the line, and have absolutely no bearing on the plot.

Add it to the list of things rushed through or abandoned in Wano, while the rest of Wano was being dragged out.
That arc was a cake all of its own.

Lmao the theory doesn’t even make sense. Tell me more about these abandoned plot point in Wano that people here keep yammering about

It certainly was.
Highlighting Numbers on Punk Hazzard.
Then pointing out that Kaido bought Numbers from Punk Hazzard.
And highlighting those 3 randomly that happen to have similar Numbers parallels...
Adeer whenever someone brings up a good point:

What parallels? They don’t look alike and Fuga and Yamato’s relationship was explained in SBS

He didn't had time to remove couple of meaningless running chapters to make a plot. Ok...

Nope, Oda already explained in the SBS for volume 103. They were never meant to be Daimyo
