The only instance that for me, he didnt use haki was vs Vergo. Why? Because they barely got in the new world, they didnt knew how strong were the people there, Zoro even mocked Luffy for that reason.

Sanji has Haki ever since Luffy confirmed it in Punk Hazard. And Sanji said he has been training his CoA since then. Lol.

Oda drawing black CoA hardening is all kinds of iffy. He doesn’t draw them in some instances but does in others. He likes drawing them on Luffy and his battles and on swordsmen. He doesn’t like drawing them on DF users using their DF abilities like Law, BM, and Apoo even though we know for a fact that they are using it.

Black hardening = clear hardening (or hardening that isn’t shown but implied). Flame hardening isn’t implied to be anything special either, only internal CoA is.

Usually when it comes to drawing, black hardening would show shinny metallic colors on shaded areas. But when it comes to Sanji whose clothes is usually black or dark colored, it will be hard to differentiate, that's why a lot of people assumed that Sanji doesn't have hardening.

He couldn't use CoA until his fight with queen, hence him literally saying "I've been training my CoA"....anyone with primary level comprehension could tell you what that means lol

Like I said above with Ven437, usually black hardening would get highlighted with shinny metallic colors but Sanji doesn't show that same metallic colors when he uses haki which is weird.

Sanji had already been confirmed to have haki when he kicked Caribou, who was a logia user.
Sanji was actually the first of the monster trio to hit a logia user with haki. Just like Sanji was the first of the monster trio to be able to sky walk.

It was ridiculous to argue with some folks here that Sanji had Hardening, a ability fodders had in NW. Some genuinely believed he will never have it,, or will unlock it in Wano as PU. These same fans can say otherwise now no one's gonna bother to check back old post just to hand Ls,,

It was ridiculous enough for me to think he could withstand Vergo's kicks without using his CoA defence or awakened genes.

There's no proof he did for sure but it's logical and his black leg didn't make it be noticeable like I assumed a long time ago if that occurred.
