I still hope Kidd creates a real skyscraper mecha which shots railguns on a daily basis.
His awakening finisher is just the beginning. Also, it would benefit Kidd more if he's also able to create metal junks out of nowhere with his awakening because it's really situational with Kidd because he always needs to have metals available. For now, he can only inflict magnetism on people and objects but it would definitely make him stronger if he is also able to create metal from the ground.

I wouldn't say that, if he can pull that gigantic sword with his magnetic power, he sure can exponentially accelerate the sword's speed as well with his magnetism. Look how fast Kidd pulled gigantic metal junks on Big Mom.

Plus, the railgun destroyed a majority of Shanks' allies but imagine if Kidd was throwing that gigantic sword with high acceleration on Shanks' direction. I'm sure it would be even more devastating and I dunno if Shanks would just easily counter that with Kamurasi, unless Shanks attacks first like in manga.

Why are you talking about countering when Big mom was completely helpless as she fell down the Onigashima hole? Like what do you imagine she would do to counter a giant sword accelerating down towards her head

No top tier has ever been treated much worse than Kidd besides Gardenbull. 
Don’t forget Oda making sure that Kidd was at full health and fully recovered from Wano so as to give zero excuse or leeway for Shanks curbstomping Kidd.

The thing is. Giant objects like that are hard to move and hence are very slow. Plus due to their size, they are very easy to counter.
This is why Pica and Pizarro’s punches were both easily dealt with by strong fighters.
If Kid used the sword she might have just shattered it with an ACoC punch.

But neither Pica nor Pizzaro can move gigantic objects with such force; Kidd has a huge advantage of that.
Remember Bambina in Toriko? This monkey threw a 1.5km mountain at mach 1, basically this:

Secondly, with his repel ability, Kidd can quickly yeet anything away; whether it's Bigger Mom or other large objects, they always flew far away in a blink of a second. That's why it is not some illogical idea that Kidd's repel ability would make that gigantic sword such a dangerous move because it wouldn't move with Kidd's physical strength, it would be forcibly repelled by magnetic force. It doesn't even have to make sense by the way.
As I said, if Kidd was using that gigantic sword, keep in mind this sword is most likely even larger than that mountain above, with his ability and achieves a little portion of that feat in the illustration above, do you think Big Mom would still comment how that would tickle her?

But that's kinda the point. Luffy and Zoro usually get rewarded for their recklessness, Kid just... didn't, and that kinda contradicts One Piece theme.
As for Shanks, yes, that was retarded, but that's how Conquerors act. Pre Udon Luffy tried to 1v1 Kaido.
At least Kid took out Big Mom in 2v1 (and got stronger since then), who was probably considered one of the two strongest pirates alive, along with Kaido. And if he took out the entire fleet before the fight, it would be just core crew vs core crew. It's not any more unreasonable than many of Luffy's own decisions.
