People who are at rock bottom should at least go do whatever they wanted to do or fuck around before ending it.
  • spend all your money in casino or gambling
  • talk and meet random people
  • go on a roadtrip to random places
  • hire bunch of hookers or something
  • apply to bunch of high paying jobs for an interview, maybe you land one of them
If you're at rock bottom, there's literally nothing to lose from fucking around in your last moments.
At least that way there's a possibility of something interesting/amazing happening and life being good again.
Well the whole point of being at "rock bottom" is that everything in life looks Grimm.
It is sad that someone could reach that point.

We have to realize...this place might be a place where people might be feeling good, trying to live with whatever issues they have. And making this place unbearable to such people might make them lose their only good space.

Edit: I know for me it is one such place where I can act free, troll and have fun without caring what others think and so, and that does gives a boost to removing some negativity from life, just one laugh a day will make life good.
Completely true. We definitely need to be more aware of this from now on.

Social media is hell toxic due to anonymity and almost no accountability.

Even during real life interactions, we often don't pick up what's bothering people as many either don't reveal or hide all the pain behind smiles

So it's obvious that no one can understand what's going on in someone's life on online platforms.

But insulting someone over delayed spoilers or some fake spoilers is fucking low on a place which we joined to have fun and no one owe us anything.

I know how irritating this is because even for me it became toxic and I had to stop with fake spoilers.

Jmeena made a thread talking about it that people are being rude to him. That was the sign that people needed to stop. But no one (including me) picked it and provided the timely support.

His father informed playa - you know what that means? That he cherished this place and loved being here..as escape from real life problems. Imagine getting insulted every week at place where you like to be present.

All of us are somewhat indirectly responsible as a community.
Exactly this. Social media is fucking brutal. For many people, especially those in rural areas or developing countries, it’s their gateway to the world and a beautiful escape from their everyday lives. Yet it’s clear that people here did contribute to his negative mental state by making mountains out of molehills, shit talking him to his face and behind his back. All of us, especially those of us who partake in spoiler discussions, are indirectly responsible. We need to be better.

I know firsthand how incredibly obnoxious and entitled people can be over spoilers. It’s so hypocritical that society espouses concern for people’s mental health, yet we abuse others on social media over stupid shit like this. Unbelievable. I can only imagine how unhappy his family would be if they knew that sometimes his beloved community could become his own living hell.

Please don't use this thread to condemn his choices, it is not the place of anyone on this forum. Send your condolences and keep it moving. Respect his family for their lost and respect Jmena as a human being. No one should be judging the dude and we have no idea what he suffered from. If you feel compelled to chastise someone who passed away, keep that shit to yourself. ✌️

Well said! This is one of the reasons why we consistently discourage people from personally targeting users—especially the providers. I keep telling people not to blame them for fake spoilers because they share what they get from their providers.

Our forum hosts people from all over the world and we're all from different backgrounds and personalities—there are all kinds of people. Some of us are really sensitive to criticism and negativity. For a lot of people, online communities are like an escape from the cruelties of the real world. We don't know what's going on in their lives and how they feel about things we say online IRL. So please be mindful of what you say to people on the forum from now on.

I am not trying to say our attacks contributed to what happened to Jmena, but let's not, at least, make things worse for people that are already going through shit in their real life. Please try to be more hospitable towards your fellow members from now on.

Jmena was a good guy. I've never seen him attack anyone at a personal level no matter how much people tried to belittle him. This is a huge loss to the community. My deepest condolences to his friends and family! RIP, Jorge!
