Anyway once again the only thing we know is if you conform to a certain style or outright say what you are,then you can be categorized.

Roger,Rayleigh,Shanks seem to belong to the exact same fighting style set but until someone says they are swordsmen in the manga,my mind is open about them.

Zoro,pre-skip Kaku,Mihawk,Oden, Ryuuma have already clearly been categorized as swordsmen in the manga for instance.

What I want to know is why does Oda make all these Legendary figures Swordsmen, and directly link them to Luffy, and not the man who wants to be the WSS? Kind of messed up..... The man who rivals Ryuma. The Man who will surpass Gol D. Roger.

They actually need to say they are or called such by other characters in the manga.

Shanks already got mentioned when Mihawk Bounty that Mihawk sword skill is superior to Shanks ( by Brannew )
Roger kinda already too since he name his own son the same as his beloved blade ( ACE and its one of Saijo same as Murakumo and Yoru ) and we haven't see he doing much else than using his sword.
Ray kinda given too.

So far that we seen this 3 guy is using swords hence why they are swordsman.
They might had inferior style or tech against the like of Zoro and Mihawk, but they had their own technique.
Just like how my country handle swords or knife against Japan, MidEast or Western swordstyle technique.
Different people, Different style technique, but the same category which is Swordsman.

I can't remember the exact name for it, but they use fish skin that's wrapped around the handle of a katana, which gives it those diamond shapes.

But his sword is a cutlass. So, maybe Roger's dark secret was he was a weeaboo. :P

Is this really a hot take? Luffy will undoubtedly surpass Roger in strength by the end of the series, so this should be expected.

If Zoro ends up surpassing Roger, which is definitely a possibility, then it just means that the powercreep for Luffy is gonna be insane.
