If Oden never met Whitebeard and went out to sea for 10 years, and fought strong opponents, and gained all that experience, he would have never gotten to the level that he did.

All the Samurai from Wano were stagnant from being conflict free for so long. Had any of them, especially Ushimaru, gone out and gained that kind of experience, they'd end up a hundred times stronger then they initially were, just like Oden did.

Yep, if the parents of his parents so on and so forth are connected to Ryuma, then he's direct, indirect would be if Zoro descended from Ryuma's brother/sister or cousin, which isn't the case, Zoro's grandmother is Ushimaru's sister.

The samurai have been isolated with no invaders for hundreds of years so the samurai are weak… but no actually ushimaru and the scabbards and Hyogoro and the daiymo and their vassals are actually strong and have been strong this whole time despite not being invaded… but no cut to 20 years later when everyone is malnourished and no one has touched a sword in 20 years and yet the samurai can defeat an army that has been in constant battles and raid around the new world and is 8 times their number… Yet even Luffy says “the samurai are strong”

The nigh-immediate hard pivot into Zorogenics debate is definitely funny but I feel like the plot has been lost a bit at this point. I think we should instead suggest more people who may have been killed by Mihawk and see if any come true. I'll start:
-Jarul and Jorul
-Some admiral from Sengoku's time.
-Any Roger Pirate whose status is currently unknown.
-Kaido (the volcano didn't get the job done; Mihawk was there.)
-Rocks (Mihawk was five at the time.)

And the Scabbards aren't fodder, you're also inserting more headcanon, we have zero idea who the Scabbards ancestors were.

That's how genetics work lol, some people get the good ones and some the bad ones, that's why there are strong Shimotsuki like Ushimaru and fodder Shimotsuki like Yasuie, Zolo is lucky he's Luffy's underling and therefore has plot on his side otherwise he'd have been another Yasuie or Arashi who died against fodder pirates.

No matter how much you try and twist things, growing stronger through hard fought fights is canonically a fact in One Piece.
