Lazy is the way
Jaime is by far and away one of the most wanked fighters in Asoiaf history:

- Brienne believed no one in the seven kingdoms could have stood against him at full strenght.
- Like I said earlier, Jaime wanks tf out of Arthur and still believes that he can beat with his speed and skill.
- "Best natural swordsman since Jaime lannister", this is part of a quote by Barristan.
- Held his own against the Smiling Knight at 15, who later was killed by Arthur.
- In the battle of Whispering Woods, after Robb had completely outplayed him and realized that he was lost, he carried an offense with his retainers where he fought his way up the valley, almost reaching Robb (who had his elites). Shouting for Robb the entire time, and despite eventually getting captured, both Eddard Karstak and Darys Hornwood died, Tohrren a hand. They were vital in Jaime actually accomplishing that.
- Second choice by Martin after Arthur himself in a trial by combat.
- "One of the great swordsmen of Westeros history", still by Martin.
- At one point Martin even said Jaime beats Aragon which is obvious bs lmfao, but still it shows the wank he has for the character.

To me, as far as fighting prowess go and leaving aside special weapons, Jaime is ~ Arthur.
Jamie a monster no doubt and against someone else i would have likely choose him

But this says it all

- Second choice by Martin after Arthur himself in a trial by combat.

Arthur wins again. This is another Selmy situation where they are equally matched but the blade gives Arthur the edge.
Only hope is Sandoq now.
It's just so difficult to argue against Arthur in general lol. When you've got someone who has been directly called > Barristan the Bold if he's full power (Dawn) and who Martin picks first for a trial by combat, the best warrior of the Aerys era (and still better than anyone in the Asoiaf events), it just becomes an upside battle to win in the votes in tourneys like this one.

P.S. Come on y'all, can't be voting for Barristan against Sandoq in the round to come, we already know the deal between him and Arthur. Make the Shadow vs the Sword of the Morning HAPPEN!!!
:steef:

Alright, something I found out right now upon rereading on Sandoq. In the text his Valyrian curved blade is referred to as "great curved sword" (two times) and "great sword". But Sandoq also used a shield in bridge fight.

@Elder Lee Hung @Bullet So wait...Sandoq could wield an actual great sword with one hand like the mountain? Lmfao.
Sandoq Is like the Mountain, but has a strategic mind, knows how to fight and has a Valyrian sword too lol.

Aight, let's put the respect where it's due. Prime Barristan the Bold is one of the baddest mofos in the story. Equal to Dayne without Dawn, amongst his many accomplishments he slew Maelys the Monstrous, a man of terrifying strenght who once killed a horse with a punch. He rescued the king himself etc. He is considered the greatest knight alive and when he's removed he threatens the entire Kingsguard, then leaves the city (after killing whoever the sent to capture him).

Still, Sandoq is really a freak. I'm going with him after a tough match.

Hey, maybe Barristan does beat Sandoq. Is Sandoq getting somewhat overrated? Maybe. But I don't think so.

In Asoiaf the Mountain is considered a terror within Westeros...and I think Sandoq would be perfectly capable of handling someone like that. I don't even know how much of a real challenge would Gregor be to him. That's the level.

Sandoq might finally get a challenge before he wins.
Ayoo lmfao.
