There's no argument here.

I consider Jamie Super strong , but I'm always gonna place Arthur and Selmy above jamie (Probably a bias)

Ser Arthur was described as the deadliest of Aerys’ Kingsguard and is depicted wielding his house’s ancestral sword, Dawn, and another sword in the akimbo style to devastating effect. The man was a beast. The only known warrior who could match him was his fellow Kingsguard brother, Ser Barristan, and that was with normal swords. With Dawn, Ser Arthur would win against Ser Barristan. Speaking of Dawn, this sword, which is reputed to be fashioned from a meteorite that the original lord of House Dayne stumbled upon and later established Starfall, the Dayne castle, on the site of its impact, has a storied tradition of only going to a member of House Dayne skilled enough to be worthy of the honor, making Dawn effectively Westeros’ version of Excalibur. It doesn’t matter if that Dayne is the reigning lord, a younger son, or a distant cousin; Dawn only goes to the cream of the crop, as it were. This means that, because of such a high standard being set, House Dayne in general likely has a reputation for churning out the most formidable warriors that Westeros has ever seen. Ser Arthur is foremost among these and more than earned his spot on the Kingsguard as a result.

Jaime, on the other hand, was admittedly a great warrior in his own right, becoming the youngest member of the Kingsguard ever at only 16, and was knighted by Ser Arthur around the same time. His skill, though, is nowhere described as being enough to beat Ser Arthur. Jaime in this scenario would be younger and perhaps quicker on his feet, but Ser Arthur is combat-hardened and has more training under his belt. With two swords as well, Ser Arthur would batter away at Jaime’s defenses, providing the Young Lion with little room to push the offensive. Jaime would admirably parry Ser Arthur’s strikes at first, but he would, as mentioned, have no room to put Ser Arthur on the backpedal when he’s trying to hold off two swords swinging at him from various directions. Jaime would eventually be worn down by his attempts to block and evade Ser Arthur’s ferocious and relentless attacks, and when an opening in his defenses materialized from this exhaustion, Ser Arthur would exploit it quickly, dispatching his younger Kingsguard brother.

Arthur takes this.

Arthur was the best warrior during Aerys' reign and Robert's rebellion, Jaime is the best warrior during Asoiaf until he loses his hand. Both are wanked like crazy by Martin.

But yeah, Arthur would win a tough match. Equally as good as Jaime as a warrior and carrying Dawn on top of it. Dawn really is what propels Arthur above the Kingslayer or Barristan. Much as it'd be cool to see someone else winning, Dayne really has crazy portrayal as being the outright deadliest Kingsguard member of that...phenomenal Kingsguard.

Worth to note, Jaime absolutely wanks Arthur, and yet he believe that with speed and skill he could beat him. Now, I'm sure Arthur especially would also say that he could beat Jaime lol. But still.

His skill, though, is nowhere described as being enough to beat Ser Arthur.
Jaime's skill is on par with Arthur's. Lol.

With Brightroar, Jaime can make this 50/50

With regular swords I also think it's 50/50

But Arthur will win most times if he has Dawn and Jaime has regular steel

Dawn probably is a relic from age of heroes lol.
Or maybe simply a Valyrian Steel of House dayne.
Yes, its from age of heroes
The iron used to made Dawn was from a fallen star (of course its a legend)

What was point giving him the brightroar then
:kaidowhat:
I'm implying that if they have the same tier of weaponry it's 50/50

But if Jaime has a regular sword and Dayne has Dawn, it's a different story. I thought that went without saying

Dawn is definitely more than just valyrian steel

Can someone remind me when or how House stark got ICE?
Chapter 2, Game of Thrones.
Catelyn had no love for swords, but she could not deny that Ice had its own beauty. It had been forged in Valyria, before the Doom had come to the old Freehold, when the ironsmiths had worked their metal with spells as well as hammers. Four hundred years old it was, and as sharp as the day it was forged. The name it bore was older still, a legacy from the age of heroes, when the Starks were Kings in the North.

Jaime is by far and away one of the most wanked fighters in Asoiaf history:

- A fighter as good as Brienne believed no one in the seven kingdoms could have stood against him at full strenght.

- Like I said earlier, Jaime wanks tf out of Arthur and still believes that he can beat him with his speed and skill.

- "Best natural swordsman since Jaime Lannister", this is part of a quote by Barristan.

- Held his own against the Smiling Knight at 15, who later was killed by Arthur.

- In the battle of Whispering Woods, after Robb had completely outplayed him and realized that he was lost, he carried an offense with his retainers where he fought his way up the valley and through the host, almost reaching Robb. Shouting for Robb the entire time, and despite eventually getting captured, both Eddard Karstak and Darys Hornwood died to him, Tohrren lost a hand. They were vital in Jaime not actually accomplishing that. Imagine all that preparation and wildy successful planning...and this guy still comes that close to cutting you down.

- Second choice by Martin after Arthur himself in a trial by combat.

- "One of the great swordsmen of Westeros history", still by Martin.

- At one point Martin even said Jaime beats Aragorn which is obvious bs lmfao, but still it shows the wank he has for the character.

I would also add the story theme around him losing his hand, forcing him to rethink himself in some way, because then...he cannot be the best at fighting anymore.

To me, as far as fighting prowess goes and leaving aside special weapons, Jaime is ~ Arthur.
