If Sabo fights the holy knight then Luffy will fight Imu. If a holy knight is still standing then so does Imu. Luffy is the Warrior of Liberation. He is the one that would change the OP world not Sabo. Sabo isn't even in the D clan.

Look at the solar system theme.

There are 10 major figures in(Pluto was a planet when Oda started writing) that are named after the planets...and the sun.

Luffy is the sun. Imu is the earth.

The gorosei are the inner planets. The ancient weapons are the outer planets.

Would make no sense if the gorosei and Imu are just figureheads.

Gorosei obey Imu cuz He is Moon which is even closer to Earth
