Zoro got focus in Wano the problem is the conclusion pretty much threw it all away
If Oda tied everything together at the end with his connection to the Shimotsuki's, visiting Ryuma's grave, and collecting Nidai (among a few other things) it would've been a decent arc for him
Franky though...
Yeah, pretty much.
Until rooftop ended, it was pretty much universally accepted that Wano was Zoro's arc, he had so much going on for him in terms of screentime and plot.
And then..........LOda just abandoned them.
But really, it isn't just Zoro that got fucked over by LOda's shit writing and rush in Wano.
Kaido, the dude who dictated the entire post TS, got a grand total
5-6 pages of flashback, this is indefensible. LOda fanboys will of course defend with some variant of "b..but saved for Rocks" of course, but there is
plenty of Kaido's character and backstory that was outside of Rocks.
Random plot points of Robin getting captured, smile users' situation (3 doctors in the arc BTW), Zunesha coming and going, King getting 2-3 pages of flashback, Kanjuri failing to die like 5 times etc.
Point being, Zoro getting fucked over wasn't the only character disaster of Wano.
One can maybe hope that Wano being a disaster in general won't deter character moments of Strawhats (bar Luffy who gets all the spotlight) in the future.
That being said.
I simply think Franky is too irrelevant for Oda to give him anything more than a couple of pages dedicated to one of his random powerups/inventions.
But Usssop is a part of the east blue mains. These 5 are said to be the core/main-assembly of Strawhats by Oda. Yeah, Ussop got nothing at all in Wano and his power level is simply too fodder to be relevant in 1v1 combat, but I have some hope that Oda will give him some major character moments when the time comes.
I don't think Ussop, Nami and Chopper (except in monster point) are meant to be 1v1 combatants anyway, they get fodderized unless there is massive CIS. But there are many other ways to get them to shine.
