But again, observation doesn't work with the actual attack but the intent behind it. Before Katakuri saw the future only the priest was about to attack, but then Sanji had to deal with two intents and, therefore, adjust his answer to them. Two intents but one attack from a first commander is still more difficult to handle than one intent and one attack from a fodder, simple as that. And i'm not saying that he displayed future sight because I don't think he did, but it is undeniable that dodging Katakuri's anticipated shot was remarkable, otherwise Oda wouldn't have made Katakuri be surprised by the feat.

It doesnt matter if theres a million intents. He can only dodge the attacks that come in.
And only a single attack come in. Thats basic shit.

It does matter because there's a difference between preparing yourself to dodge just an attack from a gun shot by fodder next to you and preparing yourself to do so at the same time that you need to dodge a second immediate attack from a first commander who saw the future, anticipated your move and tries to kill you from a crowd of people. The merit of avoiding an attack isn't just about dodging but also detecting it and preparing yourself to do so. If this wasn't the case then observation itself would be a pretty much irrelevant ability and all the weight should be put on reflexes, I believe.

Luffy and Sanji and Kinemon couldn't sense or hear things with their CoO even kinemon who has the best CoO feat in PH by fighting with his torso against Brook couldn't find it and asked Zoro if he found it another thing when Zoro started to run did you see the smoke coming from the ground aren't Luffy stans hyping luffy's mobility speed because he ran in PH and smoke appeared in the ground
